Alongside fellow Product Design Engineering (PDE) graduate Martin Keane, Andrew Flynn is the co-founder of POTR, an innovative self-watering plant pot inspired by traditional origami techniques. Designed to have the smallest carbon footprint possible, each POTR plant pot is made from 100% recycled polypropylene, resulting in a material reduction of over 90% compared with traditional plant pots. The pots' flat-pack innovation has also reduced the carbon footprint of the product by 100 times.

Developed alongside Flynn's post-graduation work as an Industrial Designer at Dyson, POTR officially launched in 2019, and has since received a raft of awards – most recently the Sustainable Product of the Year award at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2024. In 2023, Andrew re-joined GSA as a part-time lecturer in the PDE department, allowing him to share his experiences of working in industry and successfully launching a product.
